Huba is a "bridge" to ease difficulties for food production businesses

That is the difficulty that some food production enterprises face. At the meeting of members of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HUBA) by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hung - Vice President and General Secretary of Huba Head of the delegation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu - General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Anh Kim Food Production Joint Stock Company frankly shared.
Despite being a food manufacturing enterprise, in the period of the epidemic outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City, her business also maintained only one-third of the personnel out of about 500 workers.

In addition, according to Ms. Thu, her enterprise has over 500 items, the most prominent of which is the Cay Thi nutritious porridge product that has been present for 24 years in the Vietnamese market. However, now it is only distributed through the traditional franchise, but it is hard to put into the retail system at BigC or Co.opmart.

Besides the traditional franchise distribution, her products are distributed through other channels such as supermarkets, mother and baby stores, Con Cung, Shoppe, Tiki, Sen Do. .. "We had hundreds of products, but only a few items were put into the Co.opmart supermarket system.”, Ms. Thu shared with Huba representative.

Ms. Thu also said that her business is also difficult to access loans because the company does not have collateral properties, so they suffer from high-interest rates. Therefore, Ms. Thu hopes that Huba will be a bridge to connect and find solutions to ease the difficulties and support that the company's products can reach foreign markets.

At the meeting, the Vice Chairman and General Secretary of Huba Nguyen Phuoc Hung highly appreciated the efforts of Anh Kim Food in recent years. Mainly during the epidemic period, the business still organizes many charity activities such as contributing 10,000 porridge to the frontline forces against the epidemic and donating to Vu A Dinh's fund, the future fund.

According to Mr. Hung, during the months of the pandemic in 2021, businesses struggled with many challenges. "At that time, businesses had participated in anti-epidemic activities but had to maintain operations. It was a difficult period, so many businesses have overcome," Mr. Hung said that many businesses have actively changed new products and operating models.

"Regarding the difficulties of the business, Huba will try to connect and support to find solutions to release difficulties," Mr. Hung said. Furthermore, Huba will connect the company with foreign organizations and associations to access AK Food's products in foreign markets.

Mr. Hung also announced that the meeting with AK Food was part of Huba's 2022 Operational Program which is one of the 7th Ho Chi Minh City Business Association Congress.
